HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY WAX APPOINTMENT?
Gently exfoliate the area up until the day before your appointment. This will remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs post-wax. Make sure to moisturize after exfoliating.
On the day of the appointment, bathe or shower before your appointment to hydrate your skin. It is important to come with fresh cleaned skin free of sweat, makeup, scented lotions, etc.
It’s best to avoid caffeine and/or alcohol as they are stimulants and can make you extra sensitive to pain by causing your pain threshold to lower.
If you're sensitive to pain, you can take an ibuprofen-based medication an hour before your appointment to reduce pain and inflammation.
WHAT SHOULDN'T I DO BEFORE MY WAX?
Please do NOT shave, tweeze, or trim hair before your appointment. Hair must be the length of a grain of rice (1/4 of an inch) for the best results. Anything shorter may result in broken hairs which can lead to ingrown.
WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER MY WAX?
For the next 48 hours you will want to avoid: sweating, touching the skin, intimacy, tanning, exercising and exfoliating heavy/scented lotions. These things can lead to further irritated skin, folliculitis, & bacteria in the pores.
CAN I GET WAXED ON MY CYCLE?
Absolutely! You just need to use a menstrual cup or tampon. If you would like to reschedule please do so at least 24 hours ahead of your appt time.
CAN I BRING MY KIDS TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Unfortunately, We do not allow children or extra guest in the suite.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?
For facial and underarm services, every 2-3 weeks. For body services, every 4-5 weeks.
DO I HAVE TO GET NAKED FOR MY WAXING SERVICE?
Naked? NO! But the clothing you will remove depends on your service and what you wear.
For example; If you're scheduled for an underarm wax and show up in a spaghetti strap cami, there is no need to remove your shirt. But if come for a full arm in a long sleeved shirt, the shirt will need to be remove.
For Brazilians and Buttocks everything is removed from the waist down.
WHAT TYPE OF WAX DO YOU USE?
We use a high-end, professional soft wax, hard wax and sugar paste. Depending on the service and the clients preference will determine which is used during the service.
WHAT ARE COMMON REACTIONS TO BODY WAXING?
HISTAMINE REACTION
Waxing removes hair from the root, thus creating trauma to the skin. The body may react to this trauma with a histamine reaction. They resemble small white heads and usually disappear with a few hours.
FOLLICULITIS
Folliculitis is an inflammation of the hair follicles with small, white-headed pimples appearing. Most spots that occur after waxing usually only last for about three days.
PINPOINT BLEEDING
Pore or Pinpoint bleeding in the hair follicle can occur during body waxing, especially if the hair is thick and coarse. It is completely normal and should cause no reason for concern as it is a sign that the hair was removed successfully from the root.
WILL I GET INGROWN HAIRS?
90% of preventing ingrown hairs is done at home. It's important to follow after care instructions and use non-comedogenic products and use them at the recommended frequency.
WHAT AFTERCARE SHOULD I USE?
Exfoliate, cleanse, and moisturize.
CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT CARD?
Yes! Gift cards are available in the amount of your choice. They can be purchased for yourself, a friend or family member.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TINT AND HENNA?
Both henna and tint enhance the appearance of the brows but offers two different looks.
Brow henna provides a bolder look by staining both hair and skin. Can last up to two weeks on the skin and 4 weeks on the hair
Brow Tint creates a defined natural look as the tint only stains the hair. Can last up to two weeks on hair and one to two days on skin.
IS YOUR 'Flash lash' SERVICE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Our Flash Lash is a lash enhancing service that temporarily adds volume and length by a technique called “eye tabbing”. With this technique, synthetic cluster lashes are applied on the lash line. It is great for short-term needs like special events and can last up to 10 days.
Eyelash extensions are synthetic fibers that resemble a natural lash that are attached to the base of EACH eyelash one by one. With proper care eyelash extensions can last up to 4 weeks.

HOURS OF BUSINESS
Open hours are from 9am - 6pm Wed/Thu and 1pm-5pm Friday. We are closed Saturday-Tuesday and all federal holidays.
We are by appointment only. No walk-ins.
DEPOSITS
At this time deposits are not required except for Wednesdays for the 'We love Wednesdays' promotion.
LATE POLICY
We have a 7 min grace period from the time your appointment begins. Please communicate if you're running behind. If you have multiple services booked, we may be able to still take you and do the other service.
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULES
Cancellations/Reschedules must be made no less than 24 hours before your appointment time.
Same day cancellations (cancellation made less than 24 hours before your appointment time) will result in a cancellation fee. This fee MUST be paid before you can reschedule your appointment.
DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
CONFIRMATION POLICY
If an appointment is unconfirmed, we will cancel the appointment 2 hours before the appointment time. This will be considered a no call/no show and the policy below will apply.
NO CALL. NO SHOW.
If you fail to respond to our confirmation text/email or you fail to contact us within the 7 min grace period you will be considered a No call/No show and will result in a cancellation fee and full payment for any future appointments at time of booking.
REMAINING BALANCE
The remaining balance is due at the end of service and can be paid in Cash, Card, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, Apple Pay, and After Pay.
Balance paid with debit or credit will incur a fee.

Inappropriate Behavior
We have a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for ANY form of inappropriate behavior during a service. This includes but is NOT limited to:

Harassment, verbal abuse, or offensive language towards our staff or other clients.

Discriminatory remarks or actions based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected characteristic.

Unwanted sexual advances, comments, or ANY behavior of a sexual nature.

Disruptive or disrespectful behavior that creates an uncomfortable or unsafe environment for others.
Right to refuse service
We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who engages in inappropriate behavior or violates our policies. Our decision to refuse service will be made at our sole discretion and is intended to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all. Such behavior may result in immediate termination of the service and denial of future services.
Consequences
Clients who engage in inappropriate behavior may face one or more of the following consequences:

Termination of the current service WITHOUT refund.

Refusal of future services.

Reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities, if necessary.
We kindly request all clients to treat our staff and fellow clients with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. By choosing our services, you agree to abide by this policy and contribute to a positive and inclusive experience for everyone involved.
Cell Phone use POLICY
At Moxi and Muse Wax Studio, maintaining a professional and respectful environment is important to us. We have a strict no cell phone recording policy during intimate wax treatments. This includes: The Moxi, The Muse, Bikini Full, Bikini Line, and Full Buttocks only.
this policy prohibits:

Taking photos of yourself or the esthetician during the intimate wax service.

Recording audio or video of the intimate wax service.

Live streaming of the intimate wax service.
Consequences
Violation of this policy will result in:

Termination of the current service.

Refusal of future services.

Loyalty Cards
The Moxi and The Muse (Brazilian Service)
This loyalty cards rewards consistent clients with discounts at their 5th and 10th visit. Loyalty Cards do not expire. Loyalty cards can only be applied to the Brazilian service (the moxi and the muse). Loyalty Cards cannot be applied/combined with other discounts and promotions including 'We Love Wednesday'.
Flash lash (lash Service)
This loyalty cards rewards consistent clients with a 20% discounts at their 6th visit. Loyalty Cards do not expire. Loyalty cards can only be applied to the Flash Lash service. Loyalty Cards cannot be applied/combined with other discounts and promotions.
Referral cards
Referral cards offer 10% discount to both current client and referred persons NEXT visit. Card with both names MUST be presented to redeem discount. Referral cards are valid for one year. Referral Cards cannot be applied/combined with other discounts and promotions including 'We Love Wednesday'.
